Imagined polis. Morning light enters a vast roofed shipyard where crews haul, scrape, caulk, and provision vessels above sloping stone slipways. Homes, workshops, stores, quays, and shaded walks press against the naval complex, making maritime power feel like a neighborhood built from constant maintenance. This harbor never existed. Its exact plan and buildings are imaginative, while the working logic draws on Classical shipsheds, timber roofs, ramps, waterfront stoas, cargo handling, and the labor needed to keep oared ships ready for sea.
