Imagined Polis: The Stoa That Stores the Rain

Imagined polis. After a storm, a caretaker closes one route while water runs from a broad tiled roof into channels, a settling basin, and a deep cistern. The exact city and building never existed. Its working logic combines attested Greek stoas with the wells, drains, fountain houses, terracotta pipes, and pressure lines known from the Athenian Agora. Here the colonnade is civic infrastructure: shade, storage, circulation, and water management share one supported timber roof.
