Omi is a wearable microphone built around an unusually simple promise: remember what was said and help you act on it. Its current product combines a small pendant with an app that offers conversation transcripts, summaries, extracted tasks and searchable personal memory.[1]

The company also promotes integrations with tools including Google Calendar, Notion and Zapier. That makes the software connections as important as the object around your neck: a useful reminder needs somewhere to go after a conversation ends. A free plan is available, with paid options for additional usage.[2]

The design question is social as much as technical. A memory device needs an understandable recording routine, while its summaries must distinguish a passing suggestion from a real commitment.
