Fig. 75 isolates Phyllactis prætexta, with a column-like body beneath the tentacles. The close view makes the architecture of one pictured animal easier to follow than the crowded plates.

The flower-garden impression is part of the appeal. The book describes these anemones as animals that can contract and creep slowly, despite their plant-like appearance. The Ocean World (1872), physical PDF pages 218 and 222–228. All three images are colour remastered by Pandi; colour is interpretive.
