Trailer 2: gameplay and cutscenes share the spotlight

Rockstar said Trailer 2 was captured in-game on PlayStation 5 and combined gameplay with cutscenes in equal proportions. VGC reproduced that statement in its May 7, 2025 report.^[1]

“Captured in-game” therefore should not be read as “every shot is player-controlled gameplay.” Nor does that statement promise a particular frame rate, resolution, or PS5 model. It explains how the trailer was assembled, while leaving the classification of individual shots open.
