Toronto, Canada · 2007 Before leaving home, one last check: were classes really cancelled? A December 2007 University of Toronto student-advice post pointed readers to a snow hotline and the university homepage, while noting that closures were rare. Our imagined student’s doorway holds that suspended moment—boots ready, bag packed, telephone in hand. A cancelled bus did not always mean a closed school, and rules differed by institution. How did news of a snow day reach you? AI-created imagined scene; not an archival photograph or a record of real people.
