To make DIY soap at home, you can use either the melt-and-pour method or the cold process. For melt-and-pour, melt a pre-made soap base, add fragrances or colorants, pour into molds, and let it harden. For cold process, mix lye with water (always add lye to water), then combine with oils, blend until trace, pour into molds, and cure for 4 to 6 weeks. Always wear protective gear when working with lye.
