The settlement whose doors were deliberately removed

Portrait screenprint-lithograph tableau of a dry, high-gravity planet with a dominant basin containing hundreds of shallow habitation hollows, covered routes, trenches, and several tiny excavation teams. Repeated hearth scars, worn floors, tool fragments, and storage vessels suggest long-term settlement, while rare raspberry marks identify intact mounting sockets where all removable doors and thresholds have been deliberately removed.

An off-world excavation reveals hundreds of repeatedly occupied habitation hollows, linked by covered routes and service trenches. The intact entrances and repeated removal marks on every missing door and hatch complicate the settlement reading without proving whether the site supported seasonal evacuation, material reclamation, or controlled access.
