Start with five labels you actually need
Write down the exact jobs: a cable tag, a spice jar, a storage box, a folder or a barcode. Measure the available area and check compatible media. P12 uses thermal-transfer tape, while D30 and M110 use direct-thermal labels. The M110’s 20–50 mm range is useful for larger labels but does not make it a conventional four-inch shipping-label printer. App templates are secondary to whether the roll fits the job.
Test the material before labelling everything
Adhesion and fading depend on the label stock, surface and environment. Test a sample rather than assuming it will tolerate sunlight, moisture, heat or a dishwasher.
