How did Adam More and Almah manage to escape from the Amir using an athaleb?

Adam More and Almah managed to escape from the Amir by utilizing an athaleb, a large flying monster, following a plan initially conceived by Layelah^[1]. Adam informed Almah of Layelah's intentions and the athalebs, and Almah readily agreed to the escape, preferring the risk to their impending doom^[1].

They went to the cavern where the athalebs were kept, and Adam, feigning curiosity, asked an 'Epet' (Feeder of the Athalebs) to harness one of the creatures^[1].
