Remote control can be enough
Both IKEA kits are sold pre-paired. Screw the bulb into a compatible fixture and use the supplied remote for the basic lighting controls. The low entry price is real for that use; it does not mean every voice-assistant and app feature works without another device. For Matter-over-Thread integration, check your controller and Thread border-router setup.
