Prep for space tourists can last days to months, varying by operator. Medical prep is operator-led, often including a history and physical. Flyers get risk disclosures, waivers and emergency training for smoke, fire, pressure loss and escape.

Virgin Galactic and Blue Origin usually train for a few days; SpaceX Crew Dragon prep lasts months. Some missions add quarantine, final checks, briefings, suit-up and boarding.
