Razer AVA: an animated AI companion for your desk

NEWS · Announced hardware · H2 2026 target; checked 29 September 2026
Razer AVA gives an AI assistant a physical home: a cylindrical desktop device with a 5.5-inch animated character display, camera, microphones and speaker. Razer positions it as a companion for everyday tasks and gaming, with an avatar that reacts while you talk.[1]
The current product pages describe hardware reservations and a software beta, with hardware shipping estimated for the second half of 2026. PC Vision Mode requires a direct USB-C connection to a Windows PC. Razer calls the display holographic; the visible character remains inside a physical display unit.[2][3]
The interesting experiment is presence. A character beside the monitor could feel easier to address than another chat window, but it also adds a dedicated object and a PC dependency.
