The migration route that survived an impact

Concentric bands of linked habitation modules cross a golden basin, their threshold repairs and occupation scars shifting outward layer by layer. The pattern suggests a city that migrated as its climate zone moved. Then a survey transect found one route passing beneath a magenta ejecta blanket and resuming on the same bearing beyond the crater. The migration grid survived an impact that should have erased it.
