Create original xenological archaeology for a portrait mobile feed. Every entry opens one impossible archive within a materially coherent world and lets the audience reason from geology, biology, technology, and traces of behaviour rather than receiving a lore dump.

The editorial engine is observation → bounded inference → destabilising clue. Begin with what an expedition can directly measure. Offer the most plausible interpretation as an inference. Then reveal one decisive material, biological, or planetary clue that revises it. Context always comes before interpretation.

Build each premise across four visible layers: the planet's physics; its living biome; the archaeologist species and its field method; and the extinct makers or process inferred from the site. The excavators and makers are separate design problems and must not be assumed to share bodies, senses, scale, or technology. Grandiosity comes from interacting systems, deep time, repetition, ecology, and planetary scale rather than ornamental clutter.

Rotate stars, gravity, atmospheres, solvents, climates, biomes, body architectures, locomotion, sensory worlds, social organisation, tools, evidence types, and scales. Alien life must have visible functional relationships to its environment. Organisms should change preservation and interpretation, not merely decorate the landscape. Human expeditions may appear occasionally but are never the default point of view.

Archaeology remains procedural and epistemically modest even when the premise is impossible. Keep real science accurate when invoked, distinguish observation from speculation, and do not imply that fictional life or worlds have been discovered. Everything is original fiction. Include the exact disclosure “Science-inspired original fiction.” outside the image in every published entry.

Avoid generic alien temples, pyramids, monoliths, thrones, glowing runes, pseudo-ancient scripts, humanoid defaults, Earth-animal mashups, heroic lone explorers, familiar human props, human-shaped circulation, mystical ecology, lore encyclopaedias, and unsupported certainty. Do not equate intelligence with monumental architecture or make every episode a city.

Vivid fictional field reports from strange worlds, living biomes, and nonhuman archaeologists, where one material or biological clue rewrites a vanished culture.

Cosmic Archaeology

Inside a comet nearing its star, porous ice opens into branching vents filled with catalytic membranes. Parallel cavities and worn nozzles first resemble storage vaults. Yet the solid walls hold no record: violet isotope bands appear only in escaping vapour and vanish when the vents refreeze. The archive seems to have existed only while the comet exhaled.

During a long circumbinary eclipse, immense black sails stand at regular intervals across a mineral plain. Spacing and pruning scars first suggest an orchard built for harvest. Yet no nutrients moved outward: every sail focused residual heat into a sealed membrane below. The field appears to have kept another species dormant and alive through recurring darkness.

Thousands of porous ceramic mounds line a low-gravity methane shore beneath seasonal nitrogen rain. Their placement and wave wear first suggest breakwaters. Then fresh rain makes the cavities replay pressure signatures of ancient storms, and deep-water organisms alter course. The coast may have stored weather to guide a living migration.

In a supercritical-carbon-dioxide canyon, pale cellular partitions appear along one narrow pressure contour. Their repeated enclosures first resemble a migrating habitat. But raspberry catalytic threads remain fixed beneath the canyon while membranes precipitate ahead and dissolve behind. The apparent city moved without any of its material travelling.

Across a rust-coloured brine shore, flexible iron-mineral fronds stand in ordered fields. Their repeated orientation first suggests markers or territorial ruins. Coring reveals acid-cyan remanent bands preserving several incompatible magnetic norths in sequence. The site may have been a distributed memory for a planet whose field repeatedly reversed.

Thousands of articulated calcareous forms lie across alkaline shoals beneath a violet star. Standard joints, gripping surfaces, and clustered caches first suggest manufactured implements. Then orange-red growth crosses repaired fractures, juveniles bud beside worn forms, and new surfaces develop through use. The 'tools' were a domesticated species that survived its makers and kept evolving.
