Introduc�on Key findings The survey captures a range of key indicators,including land use, the adop�on agricultural inputs and prac�ces, cul�vated and harvested crop area, produc�on, and yield for major crops. Objec�ves Provide �mely, accurate, reliable, and comprehensive agricultural sta�s�cs that describe the structure of agriculture in Rwanda. Monitor agricultural and food supply condi�ons to support informed decision-making. Produce key agricultural data that help assess Rwanda’s economic performance. The Seasonal Agricultural Survey (SAS) is a comprehensive and structured data collection activity conducted each agricultural season by the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR), in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources (MINAGRI). It is designed to monitor agricultural trends, assess food supply, and support evidence-based decision-making for the development of Rwanda’s agricultural sector.
