Area of Maiz Crop for the year 2010-11 shows an increase of 4.2 percent
over the previous year, which is due to better returns received by the
growers from last year Crop.The Production shows an increase of 13.7
percent over the previous year ,which is due to corresponding increase in
area, favourable weather conditions and more area converted by Hybrid
varieties.
